The Pot Pourrium Story
Founded in 1989 by Roger Flynn and his son Richard, Pot Pourrium became one of the first pottery wholesalers in the UK to import from the far-east.
Paying honour to Roger’s wife, Gloria, and her Malaysian heritage, the opportunity to import and wholesale Malaysian pottery in the UK was given to Roger and Richard by family contacts in Ipoh, Malaysia. And after Richard leaving the Royal Airforce in early 1989 they decided this was the perfect time to take on this new adventure and Pot Pourrium was born.
The Early 2000’s
Following Roger’s retirement, Richard enlisted the help and support of his wife Celia as well as their youngest son Jon. This ensured that the business remained family-run something that we, at Pot Pourrium, are very proud of. Under the guidance of these three, Pot Pourrium began to flourish with our products becoming a staple of the East Anglian household. This was helped by the introduction of pots being imported from Vietnam, China, Pakistan and Italy in addition to our Malaysian collection.
Present Day
Keeping with the ‘Family-run’ tradition of Pot Pourrium, in early 2020 Jon’s son Ashton joined the business, becoming the 4th generation to work for the company. Day to day operations then moved from Bylaugh, Norfolk to Poringland, Norfolk. This move coincided with Jon’s wife Nikkii and nephew Harvey joining the business, further adding to our strong family core.
With the business ever-growing, our stock range is now the largest it has ever been and expanding all of the time. To view this please click the button below.
We look forward to continuing our journey with everyone we work alongside, some for over 35 years (!), as well as welcoming plenty of new businesses to join us along the way.
